Day 1 : Marrakech → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate

Your journey begins by crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains through the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering breathtaking views of valleys and Berber villages clinging to the slopes. You’ll stop to explore the UNESCO-listed ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a stunning fortified village used as a filming location for many movies. The day ends in Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Sahara,” where the mix of desert landscape and cinematic atmosphere sets the tone for the days ahead.

Day 2 : Ouarzazate → Skoura → Dades Valley

After breakfast, you travel through the lush Skoura Oasis, known for its impressive palm groves and the historic Kasbah Amridil. The route continues along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, dotted with old fortresses that tell stories of ancient caravan routes. You’ll then enter the dramatic Dades Valley, home to the famous winding Dades Gorge, where towering rock formations create a surreal and colorful desert canyon landscape.

Day 3 : Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Merzouga

Today you head toward the impressive Todra Gorge, a natural wonder with vertical cliffs reaching up to 300 meters, making it a paradise for hikers and photographers. After exploring the gorge, the scenery gradually shifts from mountains to the vast Sahara as you approach Merzouga. Upon arrival, you’ll ride camels into the golden Erg Chebbi dunes and watch an unforgettable desert sunset before settling into a traditional Berber camp under a star-filled sky.

Day 4 : Full Day in the Sahara (Merzouga & Surroundings)

A full day is dedicated to exploring life in and around the Sahara, starting with sunrise over the dunes, one of the most peaceful sights in the desert. You can visit nomadic families, explore fossil fields, and stop by the village of Khamlia, famous for its Gnawa music. The afternoon offers time for sandboarding, quad biking, or simply relaxing among the dunes before enjoying another magical night around a campfire.

Day 5 : Merzouga → Alnif → Agdz → Marrakech

You begin the return journey through the striking landscapes of Alnif and the Anti-Atlas Mountains, passing charming villages and vast, rocky plains. The road continues through Agdz and the Draa Valley, a region known for its endless palm groves and ancient kasbahs. As you head back to Marrakech, the scenery gradually transitions from desert to mountain, bringing the adventure full circle as you arrive in the vibrant red city by evening.
