Tour Details
Day 1 : Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Skoura – Valley of Roses – Boumalne Dades
Departure from Ouarzazate in the morning, with an early visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most iconic kasbahs, before traveling through the Skoura Oasis with its palm groves and historic kasbahs. The journey continues along the Valley of Roses, famous for its rose fields and traditional cooperatives, passing through scenic landscapes and dramatic rock formations on the way to the Dades Valley. Arrival in Boumalne Dades is in the late afternoon, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel or riad overlooking the valley.
Day 2 : Boumalne Dades – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga (Desert Camp)
After breakfast, depart toward Tinghir to visit the impressive Todra Gorge, where towering canyon walls create one of Morocco’s most spectacular natural sites. Continue through Erfoud and Rissani, known for fossil workshops and traditional markets, before arriving in Merzouga in the afternoon. From there, enjoy a camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to watch the sunset, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in a Sahara desert camp with Berber music under the stars.
Day 3 : Merzouga – Desert Exploration – Nomads – Gnawa Music
Wake up early to witness a beautiful sunrise over the dunes, then return to Merzouga village for breakfast before spending a full day exploring the Sahara Desert by 4x4. Visit nomadic families, enjoy traditional Gnawa music in Khamlia village, and discover fossil sites and seasonal desert lakes, with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the peaceful desert atmosphere. Dinner and overnight in a hotel or desert lodge near the dunes in Merzouga.
Day 4 : Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Nkob – Agdz – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, depart Merzouga and travel through Rissani, stopping to explore its traditional souk and historic sites, before continuing through Alnif and Nkob, famous for its kasbahs. The journey continues through the scenic Draa Valley and Agdz, offering beautiful views of palm groves and desert villages, before arriving back in Ouarzazate in the evening, marking the end of this immersive desert tour.
