Tour Details

Day 1 : Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt

Your journey begins in Fes, heading south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. You stop in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” known for its clean streets and alpine-style architecture. Continuing through the cedar forests of Azrou, you may see Barbary macaque monkeys in their natural habitat. The drive continues through scenic mountain landscapes to Midelt, a quiet town between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains, where you spend the night.

Day 2 : Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, you travel through the dramatic landscapes of the Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and panoramic viewpoints. Passing through Erfoud, known for fossils and dates, the scenery slowly changes into desert terrain. By afternoon, you arrive in Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert. You switch to camels and ride across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes to reach a desert camp, where you enjoy dinner and traditional Berber music under the stars.

Day 3 : Merzouga Desert Exploration

This day is dedicated to exploring the Sahara. You visit nomadic families to learn about their way of life, discover ancient kohl mines, and enjoy traditional Gnawa music in the village of Khamlia. After lunch, you relax at the hotel or camp near the dunes, with time to walk on the sand or watch the sunset. The peaceful atmosphere of the desert makes this day a highlight of the journey.

Day 4 : Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

Leaving the desert behind, you travel to Rissani, an important historical trading center and home of a lively traditional market. The journey continues to the spectacular Todra Gorge, with its towering canyon walls carved by a river, offering time for walking and photos. In the afternoon, you drive through the scenic Dades Valley, known for its rock formations and kasbahs, where you stay overnight.

Day 5 : Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate

Day 6 : Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

On the final day, you visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a well-preserved ksar used as a filming location for many international movies. You then cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying breathtaking views and stops at Berber villages along the way.
