Day 1 : Casablanca - Chefchaouen

During this tour, we have several stops at some notable landmarks in Rabat, such as the impressive Hassan Tower, before proceeding towards the captivating blue city of Chefchaouen. As the day draws to a close, you will have the opportunity to spend the night in an authentic riad nestled within the bustling Medina, immersing yourself in the local ambiance.

Day 2 : Chefchaouen guided tour

We will explore the beautiful blue city, as we wander through its blue narrow streets, lined with captivating little shops, where  find the most creative and captivating Moroccan handicrafts, and mostly beautifully woven items (Chefchaouen’s speciality).

Next, we will have a memorable tour through the blue washed buildings, small squares, ornate fountains and houses with elaborately decorated authentic doorways and red tile roofs. We would go around the old monuments of the blue city, as the famous Grand Mosque, and The Plaza Uta el-Hammam Square, to admire the fascinating mix of Arabic and Spanish architecture. As soon as we finish exploring the relaxing sites of the blue city, we will have lunch at local Restaurant, with the most beautiful panoramic view over the Ech-Chaoua Mountains.

Day 3 : Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fez

we will embark on a journey to Fes, making intriguing stops along the way. Our first stop will be Ouazzane, a captivating town with its own unique charm. Continuing our route, we will arrive at the remarkable Roman site of Volubilis, a well-preserved testament to the Roman Empire dating back to 225 BC. Prepare to be enthralled by the stunning mosaics dating from the 3rd century BC, as you explore the site with a knowledgeable guide.

Next, our adventure takes us to Meknes, once the capital of Morocco under the rule of Sultan Moulay Ismail. You will have the opportunity to marvel at the grandeur of Bab Mansour, an impressive gate constructed during the reign of Sultan My Ismail. Additionally, we will visit the granary and the Sahrij Souani, an innovative irrigation system.

then proceed towards Fes, traveling along the highway. Our accommodation for the night will be at a luxurious riad nestled within the medina, ensuring an enchanting stay in this historic city.

Day 4 : Fez guided tour

it's time to immerse yourself in the enchanting city of Fes, often referred to as "the Spiritual City of Morocco." The morning is dedicated to exploring the labyrinthine alleys and captivating sights of the Medina.

Our tour commences with visits to significant cultural and historical sites, including the renowned Al Karaouine Mosque and University, considered the oldest university in the world. We will also explore the intricately designed Madrasa Bouanania, the fascinating Tanneries, and the beautiful Najjarine fountain.

Following a satisfying lunch, we will venture outside the Medina to discover more treasures. We will witness the grandeur of the Royal Palace gate, meander through the historic Jewish quarter known as "the Mellah," and visit a pottery cooperative to witness traditional craftsmanship.

Day 5 : Fez - Ifrane - Azrou - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga

Start this journey towards the captivating Merzouga desert, passing through Midelt and Errachidia. This leg of your Grand Trip of Morocco begins with a stop in the picturesque city of Ifrane, often referred to as "the Switzerland of Morocco." As we continue our drive through Midelt and the scenic Ziz Valley, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains.

En route, we pause at the renowned cedar forest, the largest in Morocco, where you can observe the fascinating Barbary apes. The landscape gradually transforms, revealing hints of the desert as we approach the city of Er Rachidia. After enjoying a delightful lunch in Midelt, our journey unfolds along the magnificent Ziz Valley, offering panoramic vistas at various stops along the way.

Passing through Berber villages, we reach Erfoud and then Rissani, the historic foundation of the Alaouite dynasty, the ruling royal family of Morocco. Upon arrival in Merzouga, you'll be greeted with a refreshing glass of mint tea. It's here that you'll embark on a camel ride to witness the breathtaking sunset amidst the towering sand dunes.

Day 6 : Merzouga - Todra Gorge - Dades

your camel guide will wake you early in the morning to witness a sunrise that may very well be one of the most awe-inspiring moments of your life.

As the golden rays of the sun grace the Erg Chebbi dunes, you'll embark on a peaceful camel trek back to your starting point, allowing you to fully appreciate the unique beauty of the ever-changing landscape. The dunes will enchant you with their captivating colors and shapes, evolving with the shifting light throughout the day. Upon reaching your destination, you'll reunite with your driver and continue your journey towards Tinghir and the renowned Todra Gorges, a natural wonder characterized by its towering cliffs and narrow passageways. Here, you'll have the opportunity to explore the valley on a scenic hike, immersing yourself in the breathtaking surroundings.

Next, we'll traverse the captivating Dades Valley, where you'll be mesmerized by the sight of majestic sand castles and intriguing rock formations known as "monkey toes." These natural wonders add a touch of magic to the already stunning landscape. Finally, you'll spend the night in a charming riad or hotel nestled in the heart of the gorge, offering a serene ambiance and comfortable accommodation. You can delight in a delicious dinner and a restful night's sleep before continuing your memorable journey through Morocco.

Day 7 : Dades Valley - AIt Ben Haddou Kasbah - Marrakech

we'll embark on a scenic drive through the enchanting Dades Valley, renowned as the "Way of a Thousand Kasbahs." This picturesque route will present you with countless opportunities to capture some of the most breathtaking photographs of your entire trip.

As we continue our journey on this 7 days Sahara Trip from Casablanca, we'll make a stop in Kalaat Mgouna, also known as "the rose city." Here, you'll have the chance to purchase the renowned rosewater, a fragrant souvenir that will keep your linens smelling delightful long after your adventure has ended. Our next destination is Ouarzazate, often referred to as "the Hollywood of Africa," where we'll immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of this bustling film industry hub.

For lunch, we'll indulge in a delightful meal at the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest and most prominent Kasbah in all of Morocco. This architectural marvel has earned recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage site and has served as the backdrop for numerous acclaimed films, including "Lawrence of Arabia," "Gladiator," and "Game of Thrones."

Our journey continues as we traverse the majestic Tizi 'n' Tichka pass, reaching an elevation of 2,260 meters as we cross the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we'll have the opportunity to stop and explore the fascinating process of argan oil production at the women's cooperatives, gaining insights into this valuable Moroccan product.
